About RXBAR

What is an RXBAR?

An RXBAR is a protein bar made with a short list of high quality, whole food ingredients. With a base of egg whites, fruit and nuts, each RXBAR contains no added sugar and provides 12 grams of protein in 210 calories or less. Gluten free, soy free and dairy free, enjoy RXBARs pre or post workouts, in between meals, or as a quick, convenient breakfast. Learn why what we put inside RXBARs matters.

What does the RX in RXBAR stand for?

RXBAR was born in the world of CrossFit, where good nutrition is key to success and achieving your goals. In CrossFit terms, RX means performing a workout exactly as prescribed – a high standard. We don’t cut corners at RXBAR and set high standards for ourselves. That’s why we’re RXBAR.

What is the shelf life of RXBARs?

The shelf life of our bars is 10 months from the date they are made. Find the exact Best By date printed on the side of your RXBAR wrapper.

Are RXBARs Whole30® compliant?

Yes. With the exception of our Peanut Butter bar & Peanut Butter Chocolate bar, all RXBAR flavours are Whole30® compliant. We recommend consulting with Whole30® on how to best use RXBARs on your Whole30®.

I want to sell RXBARs at my business. Do you have a Wholesale Program?

Yes. We work with many of the leading grocery stores, fitness studios, CrossFit gyms, bookstores, coffee shops, juice bars and other retailers across the country. For more information, visit our RXBAR Wholesale page.

When you’re ready to join, please fill out our Wholesale Program form (we recommend having your federal tax ID number ready). We look forward to working with you.

Is RXBAR owned by a larger company?

Yes. RXBAR is owned by Kellogg, and we're excited to be a part of their team. With their support and resources, RXBAR will be able to deliver high-quality products with the best ingredients to more people. RXBAR will continue to operate as a standalone company from our Chicago headquarters.

What does No B.S. stand for?

On our adult bars, it stands for No Bullshit. On our kids bars, it stands for No Bad Stuff.
But what does it mean?
No B.S. isn’t an ingredient in our bars. It’s how we do business. It’s how we communicate. It’s how we work with partners. How we source our ingredients.

We’re honest and straightforward—no overblown claims, certifications or gimmicks.

Where can I buy RXBARs?

Online: You can buy RXBARs directly from our website.

My local stores don’t carry RXBAR. What should I do?

One option is to speak to the Grocery Manager where you shop. You can tell them you’d love to see RXBARs on the shelf, and be sure to mention your favourite flavours. Or, you can direct them to our Wholesale Registration page. From there, we’d be happy to help them.
Until then, you can order RXBARs directly from our website.

Can you send first-timers a free RXBAR sample?

Sadly, we can’t ship individual bars to send as samples. But, we stand by our bars 100%. If you aren't completely satisfied with your order, please contact us at support@rxbrands.ca.

Can I customize my own box with the flavours of my choice?

Not yet, but we’re working on it, so please stay tuned. In the meantime, we offer a Variety Pack with 6 of our flavours.

What forms of payment do you accept online?

We accept all major credit cards and PayPal.

Why isn’t my discount code working?

If you are having issues using a discount code, please check the following:
  • Ensure that the "Shipping Address" fields have been filled in completely
  • Check that the code was entered correctly

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes, for orders over $65.

When will my order arrive?

We do our best to ship out in-stock orders the next business day. Once your order leaves our facility, you can expect your delivery within 2-5 business days.

How do I track my order?

As soon as your order ships, we’ll send you a shipping confirmation email with your tracking ID number. If you have an RXBAR account, you can also find your tracking ID number in the Order History section of My Account.

You can click on the link in your shipping confirmation email, or copy and paste your tracking ID number into the Canada Post Tracking Page to locate your package.

Ingredients & Nutritional Information

Do you use cage-free eggs?

There are many factors that we consider when deciding what housing option is best for our chickens – animal welfare, environmental impact, farmers’ health, food safety, cost. We work with the leading farms in the country and are currently evaluating what the best option for our products.
We currently use conventional eggs. This means our chickens comfortably live in cages where they are provided a balanced diet, clean living conditions, they’re closely monitored for health and protected from each other as well as predators.

What are natural flavours?

Our natural flavours are oils, essence and extracts from natural sources, such as spices, fruit, plants or vegetables.

Why do you use natural flavours?

Quality and consistency. When you open an RXBAR, it should taste and smell the same every time, and natural flavours help make that happen.

What else should I know about natural flavours?

  • In order to be used in food, natural flavours must meet strict FDA guidelines and safety criteria.
  • The natural flavours used in RXBARs come from real ingredients found in nature and do not include artificial preservatives, added colors, animal products/derivates (other than honey for some flavours), or GMO ingredients.
  • If our product does contain one of the top 8 allergens, we label it.

Do you list all of your ingredients on the front of the package?

No.
Why not?
  • We put egg whites, dates and nuts on the front of the pack because those are the core ingredients in all of our products.
  • These ingredients make up the majority of the product (by net weight).
  • They drive the nutritional value of the product and provide a combination of high-quality protein, healthy fat, and fiber.

But why does the front only feature some ingredients?

It’s the introduction to the product. It’s the first thing your eyes see as you walk by the shelf at a grocery store. This is our way of communicating the value of our product: high-quality, clean ingredients.

Where do I find the Nutritional Facts for RXBARs?

How much protein does each bar contain?

You’ll find 12 grams of protein in every RXBAR. Nuts contribute to the protein count, but the majority of that protein comes from egg whites. As a complete source of protein, egg whites have a high bioavailability, which means it’s easy for your body to absorb.

Are RXBARs vegan?

No. Each bar contains (fully pasteurized) egg whites.

What’s NOT in an RXBAR?

  • No Added Sugar.
  • No Dairy.
  • No Soy.
  • No Gluten.
  • No B.S.

There are also no artificial colours, artificial flavours, preservatives or fillers.

Are your products Non-GMO?

Yes, our ingredients are Non-GMO.
Are you Project Verified?
No.
Why?
Most of our ingredients are inherently Non-GMO, so we don’t think the certification is necessary. There are a ton of certifications that you can pay for, and we’re selective about the ones we pursue. For ingredients that are not inherently non-GMO, like natural flavours, we partner with select suppliers that meet our standards to ensure non-GMO ingredients.

Are RXBARs Kosher certified?

RXBAR flavours are certified Kosher by the Orthodox Union when bearing the OU symbol. We are in the process of updating our packaging to reflect that all RXBAR flavours are OU certified. It will take time before you may see the symbol on all products, however we are working to expedite this process. If you have questions please call us at (647) 503-4833.

Do RXBARs contain allergens?

Yes. Eggs, almonds, cashews, peanuts and coconut can be found in RXBARs. Allergens vary by flavour, so always check the nutritional facts before eating an RXBAR and consult your doctor if you have questions.

NOTE: Our bars are manufactured in a facility that also processes eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, milk, soy, and wheat.

Are your egg whites cooked?

The egg whites we use are not raw. Our egg whites go through a high heat, time and temperature controlled pasteurization process to ensure they're safe to eat.

How does your referral program work?

If you enjoy RXBAR, spread the word. We’d really appreciate it. In fact, we’ll give you $5 off your next order every time you send a friend our way. Your friend will receive $5 off of their first purchase with us, too.

How do my friends get $5 off their first RXBAR purchase?

Obtain a custom referral link and share it with your friends. You can share it directly via email, Facebook, Twitter or copy your custom link to share later at any time. When your friend places their first order via this shared link, they’ll receive $5 off. Shortly after their order is placed, we’ll send you an email with a $5 off coupon code.

How do I receive my $5 reward?

When your friend purchases RXBARs for the first time from your custom referral link, you will receive an email with a $5 off discount code.

Is there a limit to how many friends I can refer?

There is no limit to the number of friends you send our way, but please note that only one $5 reward can be applied per order.

I referred a friend who purchased RXBARs. Why didn't I receive my discount code?

  • The email went to your spam (check your spam folder & add info@rxbrands.ca to your address book)
  • Your friend was referred by someone else
  • Your friend cleared their cookies before purchasing
  • Your friend is an existing RXBAR customer
